THE Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies Coming December
THE Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies — the third instalment in director Peter Jackson’s trilogy — has launched a full-scale assault on the internet.
To the delight of fans, the first trailer for the third and final film in the series has been revealed.
The sneak peak of the film caused a buzz on Twitter, with fans generally pleased that the final Hobbit film appears more epic and Lord of the Rings-like than the previous two movies.

Set to the soundtrack of Pippin’s haunting song from Jackson’s Return of the King,the trailer contains enough stirring footage to create a sense of foreboding.

In dramatic scenes, the trailer shows the dragon Smaug setting Lake-town ablaze, Cate Blanchett’s royal elf Galadriel kissing the forehead of Ian McKellen’s beleaguered wizard Gandalf and legions of elves and orcs racing into battle.
